Everything people stare over the web world is appealing visuals, if you search Latest version of Photoshop CC, you will be exciting to see the new features that have updated for designers and digital photographers. The question that everybody will stumble upon is “what is the new feature of this version, why do I need to upgrade my photoshop”.

Nearly around 4 months back (the June 2016), the new version of photoshop CC 215.5 has come into the news. It is a full of great new features to the creators/ designers, the top 5 of those have mentioned below.

• Content aware crop
• Face aware liquify
• Select and mask space
• Match font
• Modifier Keys palette

Content aware crop

The Content-aware crop will let the designer intelligently fill the gaps when using crop tool for straitening an image or expanding the canvas beyond the original size of the image.

Previously when you rotate or straighten a photo, the corners get snipped off, and you lose part of the photo.

Enabling the content aware crop at the top of the screen will make the crop expand; you can drag it to all the corners. As and when you apply the crop, the editing tool will employ the content aware fill to pack up the transparent areas.

Until that time, we had to select the empty areas and crop it manually or apply content aware fill

Note that the Content Aware Fill is not supported to the classic mode of the crop tool. To disable the classic mode, follow the steps

1: Click the *(set additional crop options) icon in the toolbar with the crop tool selected.

2: in the setting menu, now deselect the use classic mode.

• Face aware liquify

It is yet another new feature, which allows the photoshop tool to detect faces in photographs and then detach them.  Face aware liquefy functionality will easily spot the mouth, chin, eyes, nose, forehead and face and then facilitates you to change them by moving a slider.

It is excellent for creating caricatures, retouching portrait photos and much more. This is great for nondestructive editing.

Tip: Select Filter > Liquify and then choose the Face (&) tool in the liquefy dialog.

• Select and mask space

It is now easier and quicker to create the accurate selection and mask in photoshop with its new feature called select and mask space. You can use tools like Refine Edge Brush to cleanly detach the background and foreground elements.

• Match font

Have you ever think what font your competitive designer is using? If your answer is yes, then do not worry, Match font will do it for you. Take an image for which you want to know the font style, make a selection around the text and chose Type>match font.

This new feature of photoshop will make an attempt to recognize the font and match it to known fonts or licensed fonts on your computer or on Typekit (suggesting similar fonts).

Important tips:

• Clearly, draw the selection box
• Closely crop the box to the edge of text
• Select a single typeface and style. Don’t mix both in selection
• And then choose Type> Match font

Modifier Keys palette

This new feature of Photoshop CC 2015.5 enables you access frequently used keyboard modifiers – Ctrl, Shift, and Alt- on windows-powered touch devices.
